Freighter Kit
Because so many of you asked for it... here is our new
S (1/64) Scale 50’ Steam Freighter Kit. As many of you have suggested
over the years this kit is actually our best selling HO (1/87) Scale 68’
Steam Freighter Kit with a new superstructure, wheelhouse, companion way
and smoke stack all scaled to 1/64 scale. Plus, we’ve included a
binnacle with this new kit for added realism! These small but rugged
freighters called Clyde Puffers, were built from the 1850’s through 1920
to carry freight into and around the coastal waterways of Scotland, but
are quite at home in any waterfront scene. This kit consists of many
highly detailed resin castings, Britannia metal detail parts, a set of
photo etched brass detail parts, rope, chain, pulleys, and much more.
This kit builds into a beautiful ship that is loaded with character and
detail and because of the detailed, clean resin and pewter castings it
goes together easily and quickly with great results in just a few
evening’s time. This will be an appreciated addition to any waterfront
scene. Completed kit measures approximately 9 ¼" . Figure not
included.
